This year’s alternative Christmas panto, ‘Dial M for Murgatroyd’, is a country house murder mystery featuring pompous Major Fitzall, his batty bohemian wife, their feeble son and host of other madcap characters. Apparently, there’s a beast at large in the woods and the annual horticultural show is looming but the impossibly posh Fitzall family have more pressing things on their minds.
Perhaps it’s time to Dial M for Murgatroyd?
“Ensors are very pleased to, once again, be supporting the Eastern Angles Christmas Show” said Robert Hatch. “The cast and crew at Eastern Angles have excelled themselves in producing a sell-out show – and we are very proud to be a part of it.”
Ivan Cutting, Artistic Director at Eastern Angles, said “Ensors have been such a fantastic supporter of Eastern Angles over the years. Bearing in mind the current financial climate and the increasing demand for corporate sponsorship it’s brilliant that our theatre company continues to be Ensors’ ‘arts organisation of choice’ when it comes to business support. We look forward to working in partnership with them for many more years to come!”
Dial M for Murgatroyd runs until 12th January 2013 at the Sir John Mills Theatre, Gatacre Road, Ipswich, moving to Seckford Theatre at Woodbridge School until 26st January. Eastern Angles are then taking the whole production over to The Key Theatre in Peterborough for the final week to delight the good people of Cambridgeshire.
