Ensors are supporting Justice Hall in her bid for internationa tennis success.
As a member of The Ipswich Sporting Lunch Club, Ensors are providing the young hopeful with a SportsAid grant to help with travelling costs for tournaments.
The financial support given by the club will aid in covering expenses for Hall who is a member of the Great Britain 12 and under squad. She also secured a 3rd place finish at the national finals last year and is described by British Tennis as an athlete showing real potential to compete at international level.
Sharron Davies MBE presented the young hopeful with the award at a recent Sporting Lunch Club event. Following receipt of her award Hall said ““In 2016 I need to compete in 25 tournaments in the UK and abroad in order to get to the next level and achieve a year end singles ranking of top 3 for under 12 and top 50 for under 14. The support from Suffolk SportsAid is a fantastic boost and will really help me to meet some of the costs of travelling to so many tournaments.”
Ensors are among the seven founding members of the Ipswich Sporting Lunch Club established in 2015 (www.ipswichsportinglunchclub.co.uk). The sole purpose of the club is to raise vital funding to enable SportsAid to help young sportsmen and women from the county overcome the financial challenges they face as they bid to become Britain’s next generation of Olympians and Paralympians.
Suffolk SportsAid was established in 2007 as a legacy from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, to support individuals with cash awards in the defining early years of their careers. Since it was launched it has made in excess of 150 grants to talented athletes from Suffolk raising and distributing over £120,000. Without local fundraising these athletes would not receive any funding to help their sporting endeavours.
