This years Ensors Charity Tennis day attracted a record number of teams and raised over £2800 for the nominated charity – Marie Curie Cancer Care.
20 pairs participated part in the event, that took place on Thursday 5 September at Ipswich Sports Club, with Toby Sellers and Andrew Wheeler from Brewin Dolphin walking away with the coveted ‘winners trophies’. Adrian and Jenny Green from John Hatcher & Co Limited were runners up. Richard Eaton from Birketts won the longest rally competition.
Commenting on the event, Louise Rogers, manager at Ensors Chartered Accountants and County tennis player herself, said “We have been really pleased at how well this event has been supported and I am particularly pleased with the amount raised for Marie Curie Cancer Care. This is the third year Ensors have hosted this event and it grows in numbers (and monies raised) every year.” She continued, “I would like to thank everyone who took part in the event and, in particular, I would like to thank Ipswich Sports Club who provided us access to all their marvellous facilities and ensured we had everything we needed to make the event the success it was.”
