Ensors Chartered Accountants are pleased to announce their support of Suffolk 100. A new initiative from The Suffolk Foundation designed to help support local charities and community groups that in turn support some of the most vulnerable communities in Suffolk.
To help support these grassroots causes, Ensors will make an annual donation of £1,000 for the next three years. Half of this money will be used immediately to support local needs. The other half will be invested in a sustainable endowment fund with the income to be used to make grants to Suffolk people forever. Thanks to the current Community First programme from the Cabinet Office, the endowment donation will benefit from a further £250 match funding from the Cabinet Office.
Danny Clifford, Managing Partner at Ensors, said “We are very pleased to be working with The Suffolk Foundation to improve the lives of the vulnerable in our society. It is all too easy to forget, as we go about our busy lives, that there are many people a lot worse off than us – sometimes living just round the corner.” He continued, “It only takes a small bit from everyone to make their lives significantly better.”
The Suffolk Foundation’s Development Director Judi Newman added, “We are very grateful that Ensors has signed up to join this vital new programme of support for Suffolk’s charitable sector. Suffolk 100 is a direct way of channelling support right down into the heart of local communities, both now and tomorrow. We are seeking 100 community leaders to join forces to support the unsung heroes of Suffolk’s charitable sector and we are delighted that Ensors is leading the way.”
