In this years Suffolk Young Enterprise competition, Farlingaye High School walked away with the ‘Financial Systems & Results’ award – sponsored by Ensors Chartered Accountants.
Eight schools competed in the annual competition that took place at University Campus Suffolk’s waterfront building in Ipswich. With 15 awards up for grabs, the schools had to present their proposals for a credible business venture that included a comprehensive company report, a ‘trade’ stand and formal presentation. The overall winner of the competition was Thomas Mills High School who will now go on to do battle in the Regional Competition in Cambridge.
John Matthews, Partner at Ensors Chartered Accountants, said “the standard of entries this year was remarkably high and I congratulate all those involved. I think it shows great hope for the future that we have such talented entrepreneurs coming on through the ranks.”
