You may think that student recruitment at Ensors Chartered Accountants has taken a turn for the worse in these days of austerity. But thankfully – no. It’s just Robert Hatch, Ensors’ Senior Partner, joining the cast of Eastern Angles’ Christmas Show Round the Twist (and obviously enjoying slipping into something a bit more ‘relaxed’ for occasion!)
This year Eastern Angles serves up a feast of Dickens madness. Aspiring actor and playwright, Oliver Nicklefield, has written a new play for the eccentric travelling theatre troupe – The Crumbles. Bursting with inflated egos, The Crumbles present us with a host of Dickens’ characters including sneery Obadiah Snoop, delectable Dorabella, feisty Foggoty and the mysteriously hirsute Miss Haversack in a comedy spoof and musical mash-up that has to be seen to be believed.
“Ensors are very pleased to, once again, be supporting the Eastern Angles Christmas Show” said Robert Hatch. “The cast and crew at Eastern Angles have excelled themselves in producing a sell-out show – and we are very proud to be a part of it.”
Ivan Cutting, Artistic Director at Eastern Angles, said “What we love about Ensors is the way they enter into the festive spirit and really enjoy getting involved with the company. The feedback about the show from Ensors’ audience members is always fantastic and, as we all know, if the comic wig fits …Robert Hatch will be guaranteed to wear it!”
Round the Twist runs until Saturday 7th January 2011 at the Sir John Mills Theatre, Gatacre Road, Ipswich, moving to Seckford Theatre at Woodbridge School until 21st January. Eastern Angles are then taking the whole production over to The Cresset Theatre in Peterborough for the final week to delight the good people of Cambridgeshire.
