2015 – a record breaking year at Ensors with deals exceeding £250m

Ensors are reflecting on a highly successful 2015 in it’s Corporate Finance and Forensics team having completed deals with a value exceeding £250m. Alongside these record breaking results the overall team doubled in size now making it one of the largest specialist teams in the region.
Records were broken across the board with high quality instructions coming both from existing and new clients and across a wide range of sectors. These included transport & logistics, financial services, construction, media, retail, domiciliary care, technology, professional services, manufacturing, facilities management and energy sectors. A number of transactions in the not-for-profit sector have also been completed, cementing Ensors’ reputation for dealing in the growing charity merger sector.
Overall 24 transactions were completed, with a further 16 negotiated to offer stage. 28 forensic assignments were undertaken that included professional negligence, valuation, fraud and complex taxation matters.
2015 saw the Ensors team continue to work on projects with an international flavour. During the year, projects with interests in USA, Canada, Jersey, Sweden, Ireland, Singapore, Cayman and Switzerland were carried out. And the team’s growing forensic offering continues to reach outside of the region regularly being instructed on matters by highly respected regional and London law firms.
