Ensors Senior Partner Robert Hatch has found his sea legs and is indistinguishable from the talented Eastern Angles actors in the latest photoshoot in support of their Christmas Show Holy Mackerel!
Eastern Angles seafarers tale of floundering fishermen and fishy goings-on directed by Tim Bell adds to their long reign of success in producing a perfectly alternative Christmas Show.
‘Holy Mackerel’ retells the tale of the Newlyn Fish Riots when, in 1896, Cornish fishermen clashed with those from Lowestoft who were travelling down to the East Cornish waters to take advantage of the local’s ban of landing fish on the sacred Sabbath. The story has been given the true Eastern Angles treatment with music, songs and fishty-cuffs a plenty.
Robert Hatch says “As ever, we are very proud to sponsor Eastern Angles Christmas Show ‘Holy Mackerel’ and welcome Tim and the crew from Shanty Theatre company to East Anglia as they take the production across the region from Ipswich and Woodbridge to Peterborough!”.
Holy Mackerel! runs until 9th January 2016 at the Sir John Mills Theatre, Gatacre Road, Ipswich, moving to Seckford Theatre on 12th January at Woodbridge School until 23rd January. Eastern Angles are then taking the wacky production over to The Key Theatre in Peterborough for the final week to capture the laughs of Cambridgeshire locals!
